Total Contribution: $1,600

Thank you for going above and beyond! This option covers the full estimated annual cost per student and includes everything your student needs for a complete band experience — with a few extra perks along the way. 

Breakdown

• Band Uniform Fee: $200 (Due May 15, 2026)
• $1400 (Due 7/31/26)

• Marching band uniform and shoes
• All honor band audition and folder fees (excluding university honor bands)
• Solo & Ensemble fees (if applicable)
• All-State hotel fee (if applicable)
• Coverage of standard annual band-related expenses
• Exemption from school class fees for band/guard
• Winter Guard uniform and contributions covered for the year (for color guard)
• Color Guard Backpacks and Jackets

Prefer to spread it out? This plan lets you contribute in manageable monthly payments throughout the year while still ensuring participation in honor opportunities!

  • 10 monthly payments × $100 = $1,000

Middle school students, this one's for you! We're so excited to welcome you into the Bulldog family. We've designed this package specifically to accommodate the year-long fees that don't apply to middle schoolers — giving you the full marching band experience at a reduced rate. All middle school students wishing to participate must commit to this contribution.

Uniform Fees

• The uniform fee for all performers is $200 and reserves your spot for the Dunbar Marching Band. Students will keep their uniforms at the end of the season. 

Winter Guard

• For families on Options 2, 3, or 4, there is an additional $300 contribution that covers all winterguard expenses including your costume. 
• Families on the All In on 1600 plan are already covered — no additional contribution needed!

For High School Students Contributing Below Options 1–3

We want to make sure every family has the full picture. If your contribution falls below the options listed above, please note:

• Honor band audition/folder fees, and Solo & Ensemble fees are the family's responsibility 
• School class fees for band/guard will be applied to your student's school account 
• The $200 uniform fee is required to keep the uniform at the end of the season

We are grateful for your generosity and partnership in supporting our students. These structured options allow families to choose the contribution level that best fits their circumstances while helping us maintain the highest standards for our band program. No matter which option works best for your family, know that you are an essential part of what makes Dunbar Band so special. We can't wait for the season ahead!

Every four years, the Dunbar Band goes on a big trip to celebrate our students and give them a memory that lasts a lifetime — and Spring 2027 is our year!

This trip is completely separate from your yearly contribution plan and is optional for every family. Trip costs will be shared once details are finalized.

A few things to know: 

• Each family funds their own trip participation independently
• To be eligible for the trip, students must have a minimum of $500 in yearly band contributions on file
  • Please note: This is your regular annual band contribution and is completely separate from any trip costs.
• March-Up students are eligible and encouraged to attend, too!

Contribution payments can be made via Venmo: @pldband — please include your student's name and "contributions" in the payment note.

Checks (payable to "PLD Band") and cash payments are also accepted. Please write your student's name on the envelope and put them in the red box in the band room.
